Site features

This website is coded in PHP and is driven by a MySQL database. Users responsible for various areas can edit each of their pages inside their browser using a javascript html editor called htmlarea. Users can also upload and link to files. The site records when each page has been modified and generates the Sitemap and What's new pages. Also because it is database driven a search function is available at the top of each page.

The what's new page is available as an RSS feed which shows the pages that have been updated recently.

The site links to our in-school intranet which is available to all pupils and staff.

Little Heath pupils and staff can also access their emails and access document areas on the school network.

Visitors can perform a quick search by typing it at the end of the URL for example http://lheath.net/search

The links page synchronises with a similar page on our school intranet. (which is easy to edit by staff)

Access keys are currently being implemented for quick access to various pages and areas of the site.
