Mr J. Brownlie - The head teacher
Welcome to Little Heath School's website.
Little Heath is a successful and well-established school for pupils aged 11-19 with autism, a wide range of learning difficulties and complex needs. These include moderate and severe learning difficulties and communication needs.
We have 180 pupils currently on roll, with numbers set to rise over the coming years in response to local needs.
The school has an excellent reputation locally and beyond. It has a highly skilled and dedicated staff team who work together to ensure all pupils experience an exciting curriculum tailored to meet their individual needs. As a result, a safe, caring and supportive ethos enables them to be happy at school and achieve well in their learning.
The latest Ofsted report says that this is a Good school. It highlights the way that 'new additions to the curriculum are proving effective for the wide range of needs of pupils at the school.' Later it says, 'the curriculum supports pupils to keep themselves safe and to be as independent as possible as adults.'
I hope our website will enable you to find out more about the school. Please feel free to contact us if you would like more information or to arrange a visit.
We look forward to hearing from you.
James Brownlie

Our pupils become caring and respectful young adults with a sense of belonging and purpose. We are committed to equality of opportunity, valuing the individual and strengthening the voice of our young people in society. We build strong relationships with families and others in the community. We are proud to celebrate our pupils' many achievements and to lead them through their learning journey.
